What does it mean when a book says "in process" in the library catalog?

Answer

good question!  The "In process" note means that the library is in the process of acquiring the book and getting it into the catalog and labeled etc. ready to be checked out.  You can ask at the Circulation Desk at your library to ask if the book could be moved up in the queue so that you can borrow it.
