I'm confused about how to cite my sources and I don't understand citation styles. Help!
Answer
Various disciplines or areas of study use certain formats to show where to find sources they have cited. All styles include similar information such as author, title, publisher, publication date and much more.
Broadly speaking, the Humanities use MLA (Modern Language Association) style; Education, Psychology and the Sciences use APA (American Psychological Association) style; and Business, History and the Fine Arts use Chicago/Turabian style.
TIP: The style to use is the one your instructor says to use!!!
Ask for help at any of the libraries' Reference Desks or Get Connected via virtual chat from our Libraries' page (see link) See also the link to the Writing Center who can also help you with citing questions.
